Google chief warns AI crash would hit everyone
The head of Google cautions that if the AI bubble bursts, "no company is going to be immune.
"In an exclusive interview with BBC News, Sundar Pichai stated that although the rise in investment in artificial intelligence (AI) had been a "extraordinary moment," there was some "irrationality" in the present AI boom.
As the valuation of AI tech startups has skyrocketed in recent months and businesses invest heavily in the emerging sector, there are concerns about a bubble in Silicon Valley and beyond.
When asked if Google would be immune to the effects of the AI bubble bursting, Mr. Pichai responded that the tech giant could weather the storm, but he also gave a caution.
"I think no company is going to be immune, including us," he stated.
