Prior to the Prince's visit Trump will sell Saudi Arabia F-35s

Trump said the US will sell F-35 aircraft to Saudi Arabia prior to the visit of the crown prince.

Before meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House, President Donald Trump informed reporters that the United States will sell F-35 combat fighters to Saudi Arabia.

"We're going to do it.  "F-35 aircraft will be sold," Trump declared.  "They've been a great ally."

During Tuesday's visit to the White House, which is the de facto Saudi leader's first since journalist Jamal Khashoggi was slain and mutilated by Saudi agents seven years ago, the leaders are anticipated to discuss agreements on military and civilian nuclear power.

According to a US intelligence assessment, Prince Mohammed gave his approval for the operation that resulted in the murder.  The crown prince denied any involvement in the homicide.
